About us

How Monarch Began

In 2023, after 14 years at Citizens Advice, our founder Nick Jones saw a fundamental gap: brilliant charities and SMEs struggling to secure funding—not because their missions weren't worthy, but because they lacked access to accessible and SME aware bid management standards.

Nick started as a sole trader with a simple belief: every organisation with a vital mission deserves the very best bid expertise. Early successes proved the power of this approach, and he built a network of specialist associates to meet growing demand.

The results spoke for themselves. By December 2024, organic growth enabled Nick to transition Monarch into a limited company, welcoming Simon Boscoe and Anna Engebretson as Directors to scale sustainably whilst maintaining our collaborative, client-focused approach.

Today, we continue to simplify complexity, enhance competitiveness, and enable organisations to win, deliver, and grow sustainably, guided by the principle that started it all: building trust is central to our ethos.
